STAFFORD — The Stafford Library, 10 Levinthal Run, has the following events planned in April.

Rhymetime: Mondays, 10 a.m. (for children ages 0-2 years) — Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, movement, and activities followed by playtime.
Teddy Bear Time: Tuesdays, 10 a.m. (for children ages 2 years and up) — Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, and music followed by an art activity to follow the day’s theme.
Animal Storytime: Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. (for children ages 3 years and up) — Stories, rhymes, songs, and music followed by a visit from an animal guest.
Sensory Storytime: First Saturday, 10:30 a.m. (for all ages & families) — Musical therapist Renee Coro leads this storytime with music, movement, finger plays, & stories.
LEGO Club: Every Saturday from 1-3 p.m. (for all ages) — Build with Legos. The library will provide the Legos.
Teen Game Club: Tuesdays, 3 p.m. (for teens in grades 6-12) — Play games and socialize with your friends. Use games provided or bring your own.
Docu-narrative film: Thursday, April 4, 7 p.m. —Showing of the Film “The Calling” (about a 30-year-old South African woman’s journey of self-discovery). The showing of the film will be followed by discussion with Steve Munn, who is one of the producers of the film.
Poetry Reading: Saturday, April 6, 2 p.m. —Opening of the “Arts Thru Time” show, which consists of historical memorabilia chronicling the arts in Stafford and will be in the library throughout the month of April. Poetry readings at 2 p.m. by local authors, featuring local historian Bruce Dutton. Reception to follow. (Snow date: Saturday, April 27, 2 p.m.)
Night of 1,000 Stars Music Program: Monday, April 8, 6 p.m. — Enjoy performances by Stafford music groups in celebration of National Library Week.
TAB Meeting: Wednesday, April 10 , 6:45 p.m. —Teenagers are invited to come share their ideas for the library’s teen department. Snacks will be provided.
Friends Blues Band Music Program: Thursday, April 11, 7 p.m. — The Friends will conduct their annual meeting at 6:30 and immediately following (at 7 p.m.) will be hosting the blues band The Coffee Grinders. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the concert.
Family Rock Painting: Saturday, April 20, 10:30 a.m. — Family rock painting, with paint and rocks are provided. Welcome spring by painting some spring-themed rocks. Keep your rocks or hide them for others to find.
Open Art Studio: Monday, April 22, 5:30 p.m. —Local watercolor artist Helen Dewey will serve as the guest instructor. Call to register for this class. Space is limited.
Stafford Library Book Club: Wednesday, April 24, 6:30 p.m. — Join us for a discussion on this month’s featured selection “I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer,” by Michelle McNamara.
