Budget season is here again

ELLINGTON — We have begun yet another budget season; everyone involved in the process is working very diligently on both capital improvements and general budget items. This process will continue over the next few months.

We’ll be looking to sell a parcel of town-owned land on Green Street in the near future; I feel it’s important that we get this land back on the tax roll for the good of the town.

More information on this sale will be posted in this week and will also be available at Town Hall and on the website; I welcome anyone with questions to call my office.

Our Town Hall and Annex buildings have been re-opened to the public. However, I encourage residents to utilize the drop boxes in front of Town Hall if possible to limit any unnecessary contact. Town Offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 15, for Presidents Day; there will not be a delay in trash and recycling collection.

The past year has been challenging for everyone, but I look forward to the bright spots that 2021 will inevitably bring.
