American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) announced a donation of $500 to the Opera House Players of Enfield in a show of support for the local theater industry, which faced many challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Opera House Players is a non-profit, volunteer-based community theater group that produces a variety of high quality theater, including comedies, dramas, contemporary performances and the classics. The $500 American Eagle donation will support future productions from the Opera House Players and the redesign of the historic church located at 100 High Street that the group has called home since 2018.

“The pandemic took an unfortunate toll on local theaters this past year and it was important to us that we show our unwavering support and appreciation to the industry, those on stage and behind the curtain,” said Dean Marchessault, President and CEO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union. “As they say, ‘the show must go on,’ and we’re thankful to the Opera House Players that we get to play a small role in providing theater lovers in our service area a much needed escape and night of quality entertainment.”
